In an effort to save money and provide better service to both my paying customers and you, the gaming populace of Ermoon, I will be moving everything I host to a new server within the next seven to ten days.
This should provide very little discomfort to anyone using the service, if any at all, but I wanted to let you all know in case you experienced some down time with your particular web sites.
I also suggest you make a backup of your site, incase I make a mistake somewhere and lose all your data! Not that that is likely to happen, but my paying customers come first, and I will pay more attention to their needs, obviously, than I will even to the free stuff I provide to myself!
I'm curious about usage online for these Ermoon-related sites. Is there enough interest out there for people to have their own email address for themselves and or their character(s)? I'd probably charge about $5 for up to three email addresses (say, one for you and one for each of two characters), and personal web space comes with that at no charge, too. (Like: patricklogopolis@ionia.ermoon.com, and http://ionia.ermoon.com/patricklogopolis)
Obviously, I'm looking for ways to not recoup my losses...just avoid future ones!
Anyhoo...just seeing if there's interest out there. You'll see no interruption to the board, as it is served elsewhere, and the rest of the sites should be functional 99% of the time during this changeover.
Cheers!

Seeing no interest, I'll leave the ideas at the door for the above.
The server DNS information was changed today at 3:00PM CDT. Within 48 hours of that change, the browsers that look for Ermoon-related sites will be finding it on a new server.
I have had to rebuild all site directories from scratch, and the only active ones for I will rebuild ar:
karpuc.ermoon.com ionia.ermoon.com ermoon.com
If you have difficulty with your password in getting to these sites when loading the web pages, let me know. I may have had your username and password wrong.
There can certainly be a repository for old campaigns, but that should probably be in a subdirectory of the Ermoon site, instead of a sub-domain as above.
The following sites are not being reactivated unles I am asked to do so...it takes about ten minutes per site... The reason for not activating them is in parentheses, if known or assumed):
magic.ermoon.com (not promoted anywhere) dawnstriders.ermoon.com (campaign over) black.ermoon.com (campaign over) barbicans.ermoon.com (campaign over) aristagoras.ermoon.com (site never used) yalstruupa.ermoon.com (site never used) phoenix.ermoon.com (campaign over) evesham.ermoon.com (campaign over) newsletter.ermoon.com (site never used) ermooncon2002.ermoon.com (site never used) virginia.ermoon.com (site never used)
Any of these sites that are listed in the Web Ring will be removed from it, as well.
Just doing my part to keep the Internet clean of flotsam and jetsam!
Cheers!
Play on!

Whew!
Two servers and 1500 miles later the server replacement for the server replacement is now online, and everything that should be pointing to it is...except for, ironically, my business domain.
Nonetheless, I have not added any subdomains for Ermoon except karpuc.ermoon.com. If you are interested in rehosting your site, please let me know and I'll set you up in a jiffy...five minutes, max.
But after reinstalling all these other domains, the freebies just weren't my desire tonight!
CHeers!

I think aside from Cales evergreen magic.ermoon all our websites are pretty much done with.
Thanks though!

That's cool, Oliver. I think it would be nice to place them in an archive somewhere so that they can still be seen...maybe as subdirectories of the ermoon site? (ex: www.ermoon.com/dawnstriders)
Cheers!

Regarding e-mail addresses, I don't think there'd be any interest in it from our campaign.
Thanks for continuing to manage the websites, Kristofer! I'll get back to updated ours at some point. The interface needs some tweaking, for sure.

Do you want me to set up the ionia.ermoon.com domain, Mike?
If so, send me a private message with a username and password. Those got lost in the shuffle.
Good to see you on Board again!
Cheers!
